Young Party of Four

It finally happened people! It's hard to believe that just a few years ago in 2015, our alma mater's football team managed to do something unthinkable. Go 0 and 12. Yeah. That's a perfect season. A perfect failing season. They lost every single game they played. Every. Single. Game. It was a rough year to be a UCF fan... but we don't do fair weather around these parts (at least in our home) so we stuck it out. We watched those games and figured one day it would turn around. And boy did it! Just two years later in 2017, UCF went undefeated. 13-0. The truly perfect season. The Colly Matrix even declared them the National Champion so they claimed it alongside the powerhouse of football, Bama. (That's right... you can blame the NCAA for our refusal to shut up about it.) Life has been so nutty around here for the last few months that it has taken me a while to catch up on some of the posts I have wanted to write. One of those is one about New Years 2018. We had such a great weekend and it isn't something we want to forget (though it will be long before that happens). So in the interest of documenting the memories, I wanted to post about it. Before I get to the actual New Years holiday though, I have to back up a bit and talk about our alma mater. UCF managed to do something in the regular football season that no other team could do this year. Go undefeated. It's hard to believe that just two years ago they went winless. Crazy. There were some serious anxiety provoking games (especially at the end), but they did it. They managed to win every game they played which meant winning the conference championship. As the winners of that game, we knew that they were likely going to play in one of the New Years 6 bowls. Namely, the Peach Bowl in Atlanta...

As 2017 is winding down, Steven and I have been talking about all the races we did and the training we did to get there and thought it would be fun to take a picture of all of our race shirts/medals. That led to us talking about how much we have run overall. And that led to us deciding to do a brief recap. This year we ran quite a few races. All but one had shirts and most had medals.
