Run to the Dark Side - Star Wars Dark Side 10k Recap

This weekend was our very first Disney race! Almost a year ago we registered for the Dark Side 10k at Disney World and all of our training has built up to this weekend. It was not only our first Disney race, but also our first 10k race. A lot of build up. A lot. Training to run 6.2 miles wasn't really a small feat for us. So we have been thinking about this race as a new stepping stone for us. Race weekend started earlier than the actual race though. First, we had to plan for what the kids would do for the weekend because a Disney race requires a lot of prep and a very early wake up time. So, we decided that they would get to have a fun weekend at Nana and Papa's house! Yay! They were super excited. It meant that I had to start packing them up a couple days before though to make sure everything made it to Nana and Papa's with them. Beaches, Egg Hunts, Plays, and the Resurrection

This weekend (after a weekend hiatus) we resumed our Spring Happenings list. It was also Easter weekend so we were pretty jam packed with things to do! We started on Friday. Steven is still working a lot lately. I feel like that is becoming a common theme but we all do what we need to do and we still luck out that he can take some time off because of the extra hours he puts in. Friday was also Will's half birthday. Usually we take the kids to Cici's around their half birthday and birthdays because it is one of their favorite places but we just went last week with Nana and Aunt Danielle so we didn't want to do that again. Plus, we had church for Good Friday in the evening and Steven was doing tech for the service so we knew it would be too late by the time we got out to make it to Cici's. Instead of all that, we decided on the beach! What better way to celebrate a half birthday (or any day really) than a morning at the beach?? I don't think there is one. Our beach
