Ready, Set... PRESCHOOL!

The day I have been (in equal parts) dreading (though that was all me... I have no concerns for her because she is going to love school) and been super excited for is finally here. This morning we got Kenzie ready for her first day of school! I can't believe we are at this point already. It still seems like just yesterday that we went to the hospital to have her with no warning and a few hours later got to meet the most amazing little girl ever. A few months ago I was given the recommendation of Sweetwater Christian Preschool for preschool and decided to check it out. We knew that we wanted Kenzie to start preschool at 3, if possible, and knew that we wanted to try to find a christian/church based preschool for her. This school came highly recommended from a friend and I later found a few other people that knew of (or used) SCP and they loved it as well. Kenzie, Will, and I went on a tour and decided that it was the place for her. Steven had to work that day, but after hear

Youngs Do Disney - Hollywood Studios Edition

One thing that we seriously love about living here in Central Florida and having annual passes for Disney, is that we can head down to one of the parks on a random Friday afternoon for just a few hours for a bit of fun. Monday night, Steven and I were sitting around after the kiddos went to bed talking about how we haven't been in a while. That sparked us looking at things to do at Hollywood Studios because we have not taken the kids there yet. Well, our kid is a Frozen obsessed little girl (like most 3 year old girls probably are) and we KNEW we had to get there before all the festivities were gone. We ended up booking a few Fast Passes just in case Steven could get off work early in the day and we could head down there. Not only are we lucky to have the option to stop into Disney for a few hours on a whim, but Steven's job lets us be able to do just that. So,

Tutu Tango

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a fan of the tutu. I wasn't ever a ballerina and I'm actually not all THAT girly... but I love me a good tutu. When we found out we were having a girl, I wondered if she would be like me and usually stick to shorts or pants or if she would be that typically "girly girl" and want to wear dresses and skirts all the time. Turns out... she is sort of both. She loves playing with cars, dinosaurs, and her tool kit, but she prefers to do it while wearing a "tutu" (since any skirt or dress is apparently a tutu). She makes the perfect subject for my tutu obsession. I also love to make things. No secret. So, combine my love of all things crafty with my slightly neurotic obsession with tutus and you have the perfect Halloween costume for a girly girl. It all started about 2 years ago when Kenzie was just over a year old. I pinned the most adorable cat costume on Pinterest and decided, "I could make that". As it turns ou
