Friday Favorites: Fall (and Halloween) Edition

Warning: Pic heavy post ahead... So, Halloween isn't technically until Monday (which stinks in the grand scheme of things) but we have been having so much fun this fall and Halloween season, that I wanted to bring back the Friday Favorites post for a week to recap some of the highlights. This year we hit up the pumpkin patch near our house early because we mainly wanted to take pictures. =) We have plans to go back this weekend and pick up an actual pumpkin to carve because we didn't want to buy one too early when we were there the first time. We went early because we wanted to try to plan to go with our neighbors and their little girl again this year. Luckily, we were able to find a day and even more lucky... it wasn't crowded at all. Last yer we were closer to Halloween and there were a ton of people there. This year, there were just a few people around which let us take our time and get some pretty good pictures of the kids. Both kids also picked out small pumpkins o

Fall Goal Setting

It's officially been fall for a few weeks now and I have realized that we are quickly coming to the end of the year. Eat out for dinner no more than once a week (and maybe once for lunch each week.) This might sound silly to some people but I love to eat out. I think most of it is because I don't have to do any work. =) However, we have to not only watch our finances but also what we eat as eating out is typical

Celebrating TWO

This past weekend we celebrated one adorable little man turning TWO! Since this was set to be likely the last birthday we could control the theme of, we decided to go with something we knew Will liked but would also be fun to do at an age when birthdays are more exciting for us as parents than they may be for the birthday boy himself. =) We went with a Dolphins theme and Will had a blast! We started our initial birthday planning as generic football but then we happened to walk into Party City one day and realized there was an entire aisle that included a ton of Dolphins party supplies and the party morphed into what it was this weekend. What more would you expect from our little Fins Family?? (Okay, we debated between Dolphins and UCF but there was far more Dolphins stuff than UCF.)  I found that I didn't do as much do-it-yourself stuff for this party as I might have in the past. Thankfully, the Dolphins party gear picked up where I had to leave off. We have been so busy latel
